Burying of a Sister
I met Aida my friend from school for the first time after the war in year 2001
She was living in the Netherlands and was married to a German
Their daughters were all grown up
Towards the end of that year they informed her they identified
Her brother’s remains in a mass
So she buried a couple of bones
I met her for the second time in 2005
Again they found her brother
Then they called in 2008 – in a newly discovered mass grave
They dug her brother up some more
This year in 2015 she was calm and much older
They found him again she whispered and glanced around
How long will this go on, every four or five years?
What am I going to do my friend from school if next year they find
More of my brother?
